Union Architecture has recently achieved a planning approval for the extension & refurbishment of an existing dormer bungalow.
The brief was to re-elevate the dwelling with a contemporary styling, whilst revising the layout of the existing property to meet the needs of the modern day family. A second floor was added to the property containing 4 double bedrooms including a master suite.
Whilst the site is not located within a conservation area, it's frontage forms the context of the Canford Cliffs North Conservation Area. This resulted in detailed discussions with the local conservation officer to ensure we provided a quality design which enhanced the street scene. These successful discussions allowed us to secure a planning approval for a contemporary building within a traditional setting
